MORE TO COME

Short history
The Countdown Special Ops project started in January 2011. At that time, one of the designers and founder of Gamepublisher The Game Master had meetings with a group of hobby shops based in The Netherlands. One of the 3 game concept which resulted from these brainstorm sessions - called the G5 meetings - received the working title SWAT. Now the game is almost ready and in October 2013 the coop version of the modular boardgame Countdown special ops will be released. The game has been designed by Hans van Tol and Gert-Jan Oomis. Both have been working closely together since January 2012 to finish the project.

The future
During the designing process both designers have been convinced that the strong modular set up of the Countdown game creates many possibilities for new cards, game variants and forms. On this page you will soon find more information regarding the sequel of the game called Countdown Duel. In this game a competitive mode will be introduced. One player starts and develops his living card deck of terrorists and the other player creates and develops his deck of special ops. This 2-player game creates a living card game with a living deck of cards, creating the game terrain in multiple adjacent areas/decks.

Experiencing Countdown Special Ops will be a blast. Are your ready for it?

When and where can I get it?
Countdown special ops will be released in october 2013. The retail price in Europe will be a very competitive price of only EUR 29,95. It should be available in these shops, but make sure to give them a call or send them an e-mail before the release date. Check your local shop for more information about this great new title and make sure to reserve your own copy in time! The first release could become sold out quite fast. Don't say we didn't warn you!
