De Koningsburcht (A Castle for all Seasons)

Set against high mountains and dark forests, the King is building a new castle. The players need to find the right  materials to erect  the buildings of the castle. Many workers find their way towards this new stronghold in search of work and pay. The players have to choose from a number of roles, with high interactive effects, in which timing is essential to gain a variety  of victory points and income.

Strategic family board game
The players are building masters, who have to make tactical choices based on the various character cards. All the characters interact with each other, so that timing is essential. The game ends with a finale of an exciting count of the bonus points gained by the players’ workers. Only then the players know who has earned the respect of the king.

Introduction during SPIEL 2008
Published in four languages simultaneously, De Koningsburcht was introduced during SPIEL 2008 in Essen, Germany. The Game Master is very proud to publish the Dutch version of this game in cooperation with Eggert Spiele.

Wintercards
The wintercards are also available: together with the winter game board they give the players extra challenges and possibilities to erect buildings during winter time.
